Complete Program
Horse Sense Herbs formulas are complete. Any vitamins or mineral extracts that you may be giving to your horse can be eliminated while you are using Horse Sense Herbs formulas. We recommend weaning your horse from any vitamins or supplements while introducing Horse Sense Herbs formulas. Horse Sense Herbs products can be safely used in combination with Western medicine. However, we cannot guarantee their full effectiveness if done so.
Formulas
In TCM, each plant, herb, and vegetable has been tested and tried over millenniums. This empirical knowledge is utilized to treat different diseases of emotional or physical origin. The effect of the formulas may be noticed within minutes or otherwise within days. Yet, once the results are showing, it may take from a couple of weeks to few months to deal with the cause of the problem. Chinese herbal formulas are made with a minimum of four herbs. This ensures a balanced treatment without possible side effects, as opposed to using a single herb. Horse Sense Herbs has access to about 150 formulas. The most commonly used products are described below. If you have a horse which needs a customized prevention or treatment program, we will be pleased to recommend a special formula.
Stamina and Vitality Formulas
These formulas are nutritional preparations directly derived from ancient recipes for long life. Mainly composed of Chinese herbs and vegetables, the preparations are specially chosen for their regenerative properties. They are not intended simply to act as temporary “pick-me-ups”, since it is essential that a long-lasting and effective restorative recipe should act gently and gradually. Their actions, while effective, strengthen the organism without putting it under stress or producing undesirable side effects. Performance horses especially benefit from Equine Gold, Equine Red, and Equine Silver. Customized programs can be developed for the equine athlete. Note: these formulas are not recommended when the horse is suffering from an externally contracted condition such as a cold or flu.
