Worm Infestation Problems in Traditional Chinese Medicine

Dewormer I 

To help treat conditions resulting from worm infestation (small and large ascariasis, bots, strongyles, pinworms). To warm the "middle burner" (middle of body) and to eliminate dampness. 

Dewormer II 

To help treat severe worm infestation. To increase circulation of energy (Qi) and to dissipate stagnation. To attack the accumulation of worms and to eliminate heat. 

Indications 

Dewormer I 

Prevalence of dampness over heat. Preference for warmth, without perspiration. Persistent fever, which increases during afternoon. Physical fatigue, diarrhea, sensation of blockage in chest and stomach, difficulty with urination, and abdominal pains. Tongue shows thick and greasy coating.

Damage due to diet, accompanied by bloating/swelling and abdominal pain. Fixed or mobile mass in abdomen due to stagnation of mucus and blood. Foal malnutrition, accompanied by swelling of abdomen, muscle atrophy, small neck, dry fur, and abdominal pain. 

Treatment 

Dewormer I is used for regular deworming programs. The formula may also be used to help treat mud fever and should be prepared to apply to the affected area with a gauze. Dewormer II is used in the event of severe parasite infestation.  

Our deworming formulas may be given to help prevent infestation of parasites which may occur when horse is transported to or from another country. 

Dewormer I may also be used to deworm broodmares who have threadworms after foaling. Dewormer I may be used to deworm foals. Mix contents of packet with applesauce and feed by hand.

Su Ye, Fu Ling, Fa Xia, Bai Zhu, Hou Po, Huo Xiang, Da Fu Pi.

Huang Lian, Xiang Fu Zi, E Zhu, Qian Niu Zi, Bing Lang.

It is beyond the scope of this information sheet to detail the exact interaction of these ingredients. The main ingredients, however, are listed above. 

Caution 

Dewormer I and II are safe formulas that will not have any adverse effects. They are formulas that can be used in chronic deficient conditions, as well as for prevention. Do not use Dewormer II during pregnancy
